Welcome to the Database side of Twin Otter World. This is the evolution of what began in 2012 as Twin Otter Archive. My name is Erik Jóhannesson, and I researched, wrote and formatted that original website.
The information came from the records of both myself, and the late Michael J. Ody. It included back to birth data on every legacy Twin Otter built, and contained tens of thousands of pages of hand written notes. I have had all those pages in my possession since 2012, and they facilitate the understanding of each piece of data you’ll find in any Production Histories.
This is unquestionably the largest and most accurate Twin Otter database there is. Paired together with over 7,500 images, it is the ultimate site for the Twin Otter Community.
Personally, I spent my entire career with one employer, beginning with Air BC, which eventually became Jazz Aviation, from where I retired in 2010. My interest in the Twin Otter probably started in the Air BC days, as we operated about 30 DHC-6 over the years. At heart I am a photographer of civil aircraft of all types, and have about 50,000 images in my collection. Over 20,000 appear in my Flick galleries, and those have been viewed almost 11 million times.
