15-Mar-1981 - On landing approximately 35 miles east of Nord, Greenland one wheel broke through the sea ice. The aircraft was operating under charter to the University of Washington – Polar Science Centre. Bradley Air Services notified the Danish and Canadian authorities on 16-Mar-1981 that the aircraft had been abandoned, and was drifting in a southerly direction with sea ice.
Additional Historical Information
Documentation relating to the accident above state the registration to be C-FDHT (not CF-DHT) however official records indicate it remained CF-DHT through cancellation 28-Sep-1982.
