29-Jul-2004 - Due to poor weather at destination (Onange) the aircraft diverted to Yongai, some 27km to the east. During the flight the aircraft collided with trees and crashed in a mountain valley at an elevation of 2,286m ASL. There were two fatalities.

Additional Historical Information

Aircraft was also involved in a prior incident, sustaining station 60 damage, as seen in the final three photos. Further details required - although it would appear to have occurred after MBA became Airlines PNG in 2001 and the final accident in 2004. Can you help with details?
