17-Sep-1989 - Damaged beyond economical repair while hangared at Saint Croix, USVI during Hurricane Hugo.

Additional Historical Information

1) As C-FBRA was not in airworthy condition it was forced to ride out Hurricane Hugo in the Virgin Islands Seaplane Shuttle hangar (see photo). The wreckage was subsequently transported to Rantoul, KS to Dodson International Parts.

2) Although the aircraft was returned to Pal-Air International in Oct-1988, it remained registered to Labrador Airways. Following the damage on 17-Sep-1989, the certificate of registration to Labrador Airways was cancelled 12-Oct-1989, and restored to Pal-Air International the same day (although the aircraft was in pieces).
