Additional Historical Information

18-Nov-1981 Sustained major damage (again) when it was torn from its tie-down ropes and overturned during gale force winds at the Rothera Station. It was dismantled and shipped to the U.K. Aircraft was repaired at Fairoaks, UK using parts from MSN 546 VP-FAW which had sustained more significant damage in the same incident, and was deemed to be beyond economical repair. Following rebuilding, VP-FAZ returned to service with BAS on 10-Oct-1983.
